Year 5 2024 - 2025
Mrs Field
I have been at Brereton since January 2014 and love being part of such a supportive team. I am the Year 5 teacher and also the and PSHE coordinator. My favourite subjects are English, Art and History. Outside of school I have three children who keep me very busy and entertained!
Mr Cotton
I get to work across the school and I love being a part of the whole school community. My particular subject interests are Science, Maths and History, but I am also an avid reader and love reading with my classes. At home I am at my happiest digging in the garden listening to Test Match Special on the radio, but I also enjoy eating out and watching Manchester City.
Mrs Warren
I enjoy working at Brereton supporting children across school. I particularly enjoy teaching and taking part in PE.
Below is our topic web for the first half of the summer term. We are very excited to be starting the Archbishop Young Leaders Award which is a project designed to help the children grow in confidence, develop leadership skills and make a positive contribution in their school and local community. Through a series of activities and challenges, children will learn about leadership, teamwork and social action while reflecting on the values of compassion, service and justice. The project encourages young people to think about how they can be leaders in everyday life and inspires them to take on activities that help others both in school and beyond. It's a wonderful way for pupils to develop important life skills while making a real impact in the world around them.
