English
We have just completed an excellent piece of writing which is a final piece for this half term for our Leon unit, writing in role as Leon recounting our experience at the show. Everyone should be very proud of their efforts! The quality of writing has been wonderful.

We have been focusing on words that end is ure such as measure and pleasure.
RE
Our focus has been what Jesus told us about God. We have been considering the story of the Lost Son and that God is forgiving. We have also considered the greatest commandments from Mark’s gospel.
Topic and other subjects
We have been learning about Henry VIII and leant a very interesting rhyme! We have also read and watched Horrible Histories. Using research from books and online, we have been writing a non-chronological report about Henry, focusing on topics such as his wives, children, hobbies (music and sport) and the church. In outdoor learning our bug hotels are now complete and look fantastic! Year 4 have continued to find out lots of fascinating facts about habitats with Mr Cotton in Science. In PE, we have been playing matches of netball using the skills from our previous sessions.
