Year 1 Chester Zoo visit

Date: 22nd Nov 2022 @ 4:33pm

Wow what a fantastic day we have had! There was much awe and wonder amongst the children as we journeyed around the zoo. Every time we turned a corner a mammal, reptile, bird, amphibian or fish were waiting to greet us and we certainly had some close encounters. Throughout the day the children were polite, engaged and showed great knowledge about the habitats and features of animals.

Before lunch the children spotted white rhinos, monkeys, and everyone braved the bat cave. After a swift lunch stop we continued our journey past the flamingos, penguins and giant otters to the aquarium. Next it was the realm of the Red Ape to see the orangutans, the Jaguar House to see the sloth and magnificent jaguar before spotting giraffes, enormous butterflies and finally the wonderful elephants.

Lots of walking and many happy memories created, the children were certainly a pleasure to take around the zoo. The photos below just give you a flavour of our day, we are sure the children will sleep well this evening.

We look forward to seeing you all at the Christmas Fair on Friday, so we won’t add an additional blog on Friday as we will be beavering away setting up!
