First Week of May

We have had a lovely week enjoying the sunshine whilst also working hard. In Maths we have been finding 1 more or 1 less than a given number. In Literacy we have been very busy writing our innovations and we hope to have these on display in the classroom very soon. During the afternoons we have been looking at the story 'King of the Tiny Things.' We had lots of fun looking for his friends out in the woods.

Miss Goff's phonics group have been learning about the sounds ear (hear) and ph (alphabet). Miss Sherliker's group have been looking at ways of making e - ee (see) and ea (tea). Well done to all of those children who have been practising their spellings.

Next week, Miss Ashworth will be teaching the class, alongside Miss Sherliker, Miss Hay and Miss Colley. I look forward to seeing the children on Thursday.
