York Day 2
Class: Year 4 Year: 2016 - 2017
Another exciting day here in York. Firstly, we visited the Jorvik viking centre for a tour of their brand new exhibition. Following this, we experienced and acted out a traditional Viking saga. We walked to the Yorkshire museum gardens to enjoy our lunch on the grass before taking a journey on a Viking voyage. We journeyed from a Danish village to the Danelaw capital of Jorvik. This journey required the use of Viking longship and some hard rowing. Once there, we designed fantastic belts that we could trade with. I have to commend the efforts of all children. They have walked a total of 13.1km today (excluding evening activities).
We are now enjoying a relaxing film before bed and look forward to seeing you all tomorrow.
