Year 4 Diary writing

Class: Year 4 Year: 2015 - 2016

In English we have been reading The Jolley Rogers and the Ghostly Galleon which the children are really enjoying. We have been thinking about Miss Pinky really acquired the Key of Souls. We started by asking her lots of questions when she visited our classroom, but she wasn't giving too much away! 

We explored some ideas using drama, then wrote a diary of Miss Pinky on the day she discovered the key. 

We have using Alan Peat's exciting sentences to improve our writing. Our recent focus has been using 2A sentences (two adjectives before the noun and two adjectives before the second noun) and starting sentences with -ing words.
