In Forest Schools this week we made water filters using natural materials (and one plastic bottle). We found that putting finer materials in first and larger materials like stones at the top filtered the water most effectively. Some groups ended with water almost good enough to drink - if you were stranded in the wild!
On Tuesday we researched Amelia Earhart. We labelled Canada, Northern Ireland and the Atlantic Ocean on a map as well as learning about lines of longitude and latitude. We labelled the Equator and Prime Meridian. In honour of her endeavour as a pilot we made paper aeroplanes and flew them competitively outside.
