Year One - week beginning 2nd December 2019
Date: 6th Dec 2019 @ 4:26pm
We're all getting excited about Christmas in year one! We have enjoyed opening our advent calendar each day and have been practicising for our Christmas play and for the carol service. We're sounding amazing now and are ready for our dress rehearsal on Monday morning.
In maths, we have been continuing our work on subtraction. In PSHE, we thought carefully about how we could show that we are friendly towards others and things we could say. Then we made these idea's into friendship posters. In literacy, we have written our stories about a lost character. Examples of these will be displayed on the literacy wall in the classroom.
We had great fun idenfitying sounds for our sense of hearing in science and we were really good at this! We were very interested in topic. We learned about a significant person from history, Neil Armstrong. We then wrote a fact file about him.
For our RE lesson this week, we talked about our church visit and remembered the creed, the message in the words in 'Sing Hosannah' and the meaning of God's creation.
We're all looking forward to a festive few weeks!
