Year 6 Multiplication

I hope you have all had an enjoyable weekend. This week we will be working on multiplication. Children will be revising methods, using their knowledge to solve problems and investigations and answering some test style questions.

To support children you could revise times as well as asking children some 'real' questions. They could calculate the area of a room, the cost of multiple products or increase a recipe when cooking. It is important that children can confidently use both the grid and efficient methods of multiplication. They could solve a problem using one method and check their answer using another.
