Dear parents,
Monday
On Monday, we did my happy mind, we did the positives and negatives for high school and what we shouldn't be worried about. Next, we did English and we planned a letter around an issue of our choice such as food poverty or not having access to clean water. In maths, we did equivalent fractions and simplifying them. It was very fun! In the afternoon, we did football with Mr Mcaulay. We had a great kick about. In the end we did a girls and boys match. 4-4 for the girls and 5-5 for the boys. We had a great time!
Tuesday
On Tuesday, first things first we wrote our letters to an MP and it was a great start to the letters. In maths, we carried on with our equivalent fractions but on a number line. In the afternoon, we did art. In art we were outlining our portraits.
Wednesday
On Wednesday, we carried on our letter to the MP and some of us started to edit and help out our partners by sharing ideas. In the afternoon we did computing and music before hymn practice. Some of us spent the morning with the ethos council from other schools and shared promoted our Christian values.
Thursday
On Thursday, we completed our letters. We also looked at converting fractions in the morning and had to use our times tables to help us. In the afternoon, we used maps to find the countries of Europe and tried to label them on a map. It was harder than we thought! We then did some research on European countries and completed a mini study – did you know that the first mop and bucket was invented in Spain in the 1800’s?
Friday
Today we have all enjoyed non school uniform day! We have done some creative writing on anything we want so everyone has chosen something different and we are very excited to share our finished pieces!
Hope you all have a lovely weekend,
Sofia, Thea and Emily
