Monday
On Monday, we did first things first then went to assembly. In maths, we did adding and subtracting decimals and in English we explored the vocabulary in our wolf text. In the afternoon, we had science and learnt about light and refraction.
Tuesday
We started the day with our My Happy Mind lesson. In maths, we learnt how to multiply by 10, 100 and 1000.In Guided Reading, we completed a comprehension on a book called The Explorer. In English, we looked at subordinating and co-ordinating conjunctions. In the afternoon we started to plan and design our automata toy.
Wednesday
In maths we focussed on dividing by 10, 100 and 1000 and in Guided Reading we recapped on personification. In English, we were comparing 1st and 3rd person. In DT we started to build our automata toys.
Thursday
Our Ethos group led our wordship and they were great. They helped us to understand and remember what Mrs McLean told us on Monday’s worship. After worship, we learnt how to multiply decimals by integers . In English, we explored the model text ready to write our own when we come back.
Friday
On Friday we started with a Celebration Assembly and after that we finished our DT project. We had to evaluate our designs and we also squeezed in some creative writing. We have sorted our Pensarn rooms now and we watched a powerpoint and photos about the trip - we can’t wait!
