Friday 2nd February
On Monday, we did first things first then we did a class worship and our main value that we are learning about this half term is hope.Then we did maths and we learnt substitution. In guided reading we did the explorer, in spelling we went into our groups and we went on to unit 4. After break we went onto English and in English we are republishing our Charles Darwin stories. After lunch we had PE and in PE we were doing our sports test, after that we had a short game of bench ball.
On Tuesday, our first lesson was My Happy Mind, then in maths we did formula. In guided reading we did more about the explorer, then we went off to our spelling groups. In English we practiced our speech for our Darwin stories, then later on after lunch we practiced our revision and, in our revision, we did our fractions.
On Wednesday, we did worship with Reverend Sandi, after that we did maths and in maths we where looking at forming and solving equations. In English we were looking at the way our animals looked in our Darwin stories and thinking about different adjectives and adverbs. In RE we wrote about what the Eucharist, the last supper and the Passover and how they are all linked together.
On Thursday, we were solving equations in maths, after break we did English where we were describing how our animals moved with different adverbs and verbs. In the afternoon we did a Kahoot quiz with Mrs Tice after that we did music and in music we did different tunes - happy ones and sad ones.
On Friday, we had celebration assembly and Hunter got the certificate and Jessica got the Ambassador badge, well done! We did forest school and in forest school we were making traps to catch food and building boats like refugees. After that we had lunch then did science for the rest of the afternoon. In science we were making periscopes out of cereal boxes.
