Year 6 -Welcome Back
Date: 20th Sep 2015 @ 9:53am
I hope everyone enjoyed the summer break. It has been lovely to see the children again, although I can't believe how much taller they all are! The children have settled well into Year 6 and have been working on place value and rounding in maths. These will be important concepts for all our maths and revisiting these areas regularly will help children feel confident in other areas.
In Literacy children are enjoying writing their own version of The NightMail by W H Auden. I'm sure they would be happy to recite a little for you.
We are all enjoying learning about turning points in British History with Mr Stanway. So far we have looked at the Battle of Hastings and the Magna Carta.
I look forward to seeing you all over the half term.
