Year 6 - Something for the weekend
Date: 5th Feb 2016 @ 12:36pm
We have had another busy week in Y6.
In maths we have been revising long multiplication and division. Some children have found this tricky and have been working in small groups with myself and Mrs Taylor. I have included videos of the methods below for any children who would like to look at this again. They were particularly enthusiastic about one of our maths straters this week. In English we have been completing some 'Macbeth' inspired writing. Children have written witch's potions, letters from Lady Macbeth to her husband and balanced discussions asking who was responsible for the killing? This work has made a beautiful display in our KS2 corridor. Please feel free to come and look and I'm certain children will take the opportunity to show some of the work in their book.
We also enjoyed success at the Y5/6 football tournament coming a close second to Holmes Chapel. It was a real pleasure to watch the boys play so well. Some children are also busy completing the beautiful 'Stargazing' book which will be on display once finshed.
I hope you all enjoy your weekend,
Mrs Wood
