Year 5 w/b 14th September
Date: 18th Sep 2020 @ 8:54pm
It has been another very busy week in Y5.
Everyone really enjoyed our first outdoor learning session. We worked on our communication, teamwork and problem-solving skills building towers from materials we found in the school grounds. It was a lovely afternoon and we evaluated our designs while eating ice-lollies.
We have continued to explore our writing text ‘The Errand’ drawing outlines of the character and thinking about what was going on around him and how he felt. This helped to generate some wonderful vocabulary which we have started to use in descriptive writing.
Most importantly to the class, they have worked hard to solve all the maths clues to crack the code and open the safe! So it was popcorn, chocolate and an afternoon playtime!
I think you can see they were very happy about it!
