Year 5 Angles
Date: 13th Jun 2015 @ 8:05pm
Last week Year 5 were revising finding area and perimeter and moved onto looking at angles. They were able to identify a range of angles and estimate their size based on their knowledge of right angles and straight lines. They know that triangles have interior angles totaling 180 degrees and used this knowledge to calculate missing angles. They also measured a range of angles to within 1 degree of accuracy.
If you would like to further this work at home, please look at the attached document. Children should be able to calculate the missing angle on the line (most should be able to calculate this mentally) and then using their knowledge of right angled triangles may be able to find the missing angles in some of the triangles.
