Year 4 trip to Ford Green Hall
Date: 26th Nov 2019 @ 4:20pm
Good afternoon everyone,
We have had a wonderful day with the class at Ford Green Hall learning a great deal more about life in Tudor England. Our hosts, Chris and Fiona taught us all about the life of the rich and poor, and food and drink. They also gave the children an opportunity to handle Tudor artifacts, many of which were replicas of items found on the Mary Rose. Finally, we had the opportunity to explore all the rooms in the house and look at the construction of the building from the outside.
The children also made Marchpane (marzipan) into fruits and vegetables - these will be given back tomorrow, but are not to be eaten please!
We would like to compliment all the children on their enthusiasm, manners and engagement on the trip, and we hope that your child has arrived home with many things to tell you about. Hopefully the attached photographs will give you a flavour of the day.
