Date: 28th Apr 2019 @ 11:47am
Week Beginning 29.4.2019
I hope everyone has had a restful Easter break and enjoyed quality family time.
So welcome back to the Summer term in year 4. This term is full of exciting opportunities and has already begun with lots of children already bringing in project work based on this terms topic 'The Vikings'. The models, research, powerpoint presentations children have already done over the Easter break is fantastic. Thank you so much for your continued support for homework project work. This has contributed considerably towards preparing us for the learning experiences and excitement of our residential trip to York this week and for this Summer term.
As you are aware, this week will be full of learning opportunities outside the classroom from Wednesday until Friday during our residential trip to York. We will keep you informed with events and experiences throughout this week visiting York Minster and the Jorvik centre being two great activities. Please also make sure your child brings everything on the kit list previously given out. If you need another copy of this please feel free to come in school and get one. Also, children can bring money with them. The recommendation is no more than £10 so that the children can bring back souvenirs. Please remind your children that they need to be responsible for this. I'm sure we'll have a great week, any questions please feel free to visit either myself or the school office.
This term we are continuing with weekly 'Mymaths' and 'Spelling' homeworks so please check journals weekly for these. Also Dojo points are awarded weekly for signed regular reading practice at home so please continue to hear your child read regularly and sign journals weekly.
Also a reminder that our class assembly is nearing and will be held on Friday 17th May 2019 at 3.00pm. Parents are invited to come to this. Our assembly will be based on the Vikings and worked on after this weeks residential trip.
