Year 3 w.b: 18.11.24

Yet another fabulous week in Year 3! We have had lots of fun in the snow this week and lots of fantastic learning!

In English this week, we have been looking at a model text about a space-bat-angel-dragon! A very threatening narrative! We have been unpicking what makes it a threatening narrative and looking at its features before beginning to plan our own about the Iron Man!

In Maths, our focus has been recapping the 2, 5 and 10 times table before moving onto 3s. We have been multiplying and dividing. Any work at home to consolidate this on TT Rockstars or in another way would be very useful.

In PE this week, we focussed on passing and shooting in netball. In Science, we looked at which magnets are the strongest with lots of fun experiments. In Forest School, we made a footprint of the Iron Man while in Music we have been learning Snow is Falling Down. 

In Georgraphy we looked at maps of the UK in atlases and identified lots of the larger rivers on our own maps. In Computing we have been prgramming microbits using algorhithms.
