Year 3 WC 27th March 2017

Well I can't believe we're on the final week of the Spring term already. This year is certainly flying! 

On Thursday this week we are having a Romans day where the children can dress up. We'll be introducing the children to some Roman maths and doing some drama around the Roman gladiators. 

In maths this week we are learning about time. In Year 3, children must be able to tell the time using digital and analogue clocks to the nearest minute, including 12 and 24 hour clocks. 

In English we are writing our own recounts. This links with the homework this week which is in the red books, brainstorming ideas for their recount by thinking about a day trip they want to write about. They must think about details of the day: what they did and any facts about where they went which the reader might find interesting. This must be in school on Wednesday when we'll be planning and starting to write. Children are welcome to bring in a photpgraph/leaflet about where they've been to help to remind them of what they did.
