Year 3 WC 24th October 2016

Well it's the last week of the half term and it has certainly been a busy one. 

In maths this week, we are practising column addition and subtraction but also including how we can estimate an answer using rounding and we can check our answers using the inverse. After half term we will be starting on multiplication so please practise times tables particularly 2, 3, 5 and 10x. 

In literacy we are at the inventing stage of the Talk for Writing process. The children will be writing their own warning stories. Hopefully they have been practising and rehearsing their story maps over the weekend! 

The English homework books have arrived! Homework has been set tonight to be handed in Wednesday. It is page 28-29, P6 a, b and c. The My Maths homework will go live on Wednesday. 

Our class assembly is this Friday at 2:55pm. You are in for a Stone Age treat!
