Year 3 WC 12th September

We have had a great first week in Year 3. I have been really impressed with the children's attitudes and enthusiasm towards their learning.  The children have met our new PE coach, Mr Jones, and enjoyed their first football lesson. We have begun to look at our new topic, the Stone Age and generated some excellent questions they would like to research and explore over the coming weeks. 

In Maths this week we are continuing with place value, ensuring that the children have a secure understanding of 3 digit numbers. This includes partitioning, ordering and comparing. 

In English we have started our new text, Weslandia. This week we will be exploring new vocabulary, discussing our opinion of the book and writing a character description. 

Our first swimming session will take place on Wednesday afternoon so don't forget swimming kits!
