Year 3 wb: 25.3.24
Date: 28th Mar 2024 @ 3:52pm
What an amazing week it has been in Year 3!
We began the week by sharing how wonderful your children are and how confident they are becoming.
We enjoyed a performance by the Image Theatre Company, who shared the story of 'The Selfish Giant' which is a story written by Oscar Wilde about a giant who becomes selfish and chases children out of his garden. The garden becomes dull and winter-like without the children, but one day the giant sees the children playing through a hole in the wall. The titular character, the Selfish Giant, begins as a portrayal of greed and cold-heartedness. However, as the seasons unfold, Wilde’s story subtly transforms the Giant into a symbol of moral growth and compassion. We thoroughly enjoyed watching and also singing along during the performance.
Towards the end of the week, we celebrated the Resurrection of Jesus Christ with a poignant service at St. Oswald's Church.
We also said a sad goodbye to Mr Tracey today, who has is moving on to the next part of his training.
We would like to thank you for your continued support and wish you all a Happy Easter.
Y3 Team.
Gracious God,
As we reflect on Easter,
May we carry Your love and redemption in our hearts.
Guide us in living out the Easter message daily and sharing Your light with the world.
Amen.
