Year 3 w.b 20.5.24
Date: 24th May 2024 @ 2:37pm
Another wonderful week in Year 3, filled with publishing our amazing threatening narratives, measuring angles and topped off with an amazing trip to the Grosvenor Museum in Chester.
In English this week, we have been writing the final paragraphs of our threatening narratives. In this section, we described the threat in detail and implied what the Iron Man might do next to worry the reader.
In Maths, we have been learning about right angles, acute and obtuse angles, as well as measuring and drawing shapes accurately.
In PE, we have been fielding, batting and bowling in rounders and then we played a match.
We had a very memorable trip on Friday to the Grosvenor Musuem in Chester. We had an exciting march down to the amphitheatre where we learned battle formations. After this, we had an explore of the museum and a fascinating workshop where we learned more about the Romans, as well as seeing what they wore and handling other artefacts.
The staff at the museum commented how knowledgable we were and how impeccable our behaviour was.
In Art, we learnt about a new artist called Romero Britto. We created the most amazing pieces of art entitled 'God's Wonderful World' using the unique Britto style.
Embrace the beauty of the weekend; it's your time to recharge and conquer the new term ahead.
