We have had a super week!
In English this week, we have been looking at what a good explanation text looks like and we have planned our own explanation text- how to trap the Iron Man! We have started to write this. Paragraph 1 was explaining what the problem is- the Iron Man eating all of the tractors and metal everywhere. Paragraph 2 and 3 have been explaining how the new trap that we have invented works and how we will disguise it! Next week we will be thinking about how to lure the Iron Man and what to do once he's trapped so he doesn't escape again!
In Maths, we have been working hard to complete our end of unit assessments for this term all about place value, addition and subtraction, and multiplication and division.
In PE this week, we had 5 stations! We practised passing, footwork and shooting in lots of different ways in netball and then played matches! In PSHE, we discussed differences we could see with two volunteers, as well as similarities. We also looked at a picture of a community- some neighbours and friends and did the same thing. We talked about similarities and differences we can see as well as ones we can't like religious beliefs, families, foods, hobbies to name a few. We talked about how desite their differences, this group of people are a community who care and respect each other.
In Forest School, we ... while in Spanish we completed our animals and 'I am' assessments.
In Geography, we have been learning about why floods happen and how to prevent them. In Science, we continued to look at how light reflects by using and experimenting with mirrors.
