We have had an excellent couple of weeks in Year 3! Here are a few things we have been getting up to:
Maths
We have continued to look at place value, before looking at at adding ones, tens and hundreds to 3 digit numbers such as 345+ 5, 345 +50 and 345 + 500.
English
Everyone has written a wondrful setting description and this is now published on display in our classroom! They look fantastic! We will be moving onto writing an information leaflet about one of the seven natural wonders.
Other areas of learning
In PE, we have enjoyed passing in netball and football, and have now moved onto dribbling in football, learning different ways to turn away from an opponent.
In Science this week we have been testing to find the strongest magnet; we found out that the bar magnet could hold the most paper clips.
In art this week, we have been sketching and using watercolours to make self portraits!
We have been learning about the railway in History with Mrs Pirie- an invention created during the industrial revolution.
In music, we have been playing our insturments and the children have now brought them home to practice! Enjoy!
If you have any questions, please message on Dojo.
In RE we have continued to learn about God, while in Computing we have been continuing to find out about how networks work!
