We have had a fantastic week in Year 3.
Thank you so much for your support with homework and reading over the term. We hope you all have a wonderful, restful Christmas! Enjoy every moment.
Here is a little bit about what we got up to this week:
In Maths, we have been problem solving with multiplication and division; we even learned how to solve division problems with remainders.
In English, we enjoyed learning about similes before writing two simile poems about a big city and a sleepy village, following on from our writing about Jemmy Button.
We had a fantastic trip to the theatre on Tuesday watching the Nutcracker. It certainly made us feel a little bit Christmassy!
On Wednesday the children had a wonderful music lesson with Mrs Tice where they looked at the dance of the sugar plum fairy!
In Science on Thursday, we enjoyed experimenting with torches and coloured paper to see how light travelled.
The Christmas service was wonderful; Year 3 sang their hearts out and it was wonderful to hear a mixture of new and traditional Christmas carols, as well as some fabulous instrument playing!
Have a wonderful weekend. We have a busy week next week with the Snow Show on Monday, Christmas party and dinner on Tuesday and lots of other fun activities and tasks.
