Date: 6th Oct 2023 @ 2:41pm
We have had another wonderful week in Year 3!
In Maths, we have been continuing our lessons on place value within 1,000. We have been adding ones, tens and hundreds to 3-digit numbers.
In English, we published our setting descriptions and I hope you have enjoyed looking at these at home! After this, we have been looking at natural wonders of the world! We have been describing them with expanded nouns and we then role played as a tourist and a tour guide, before writing sentences using accurate speech with inverted commas!
Forest school was lots of fun this week, we focused on knots and some of us even had a go at making whistles!
In RE, we learnt about different festivals from different religions. In Art, we enjoyed we used tape to design some art work- next week we will use these to paint with! In PE we worked on dribbling in football and how to turn in different ways! In History, we learned how things changed over time during the industrial revolution, such as how the population grew!
In Music, we learned two different notes and we then used these to perform a song called ‘Start and Stop.’
