Year 3 blog 14th February

Date: 14th Feb 2025 @ 1:18pm

We have had a fantastic last week of the half term!

In Maths this week, we have been measuring in metres, centimetres and millimetres. We have then moved onto calculating the perimeter!

In English we have been writing our own information texts about foxes and publishing these with our best joined up Year 3 handwriting.

In PE, we recapped all of the basketball skills: passing, dribbling, defending and shielding, and shooting. We then did some matches!

In DT, we have been researching pneumatics in real life and then we experimented using air to make balloons inflate. We used plastic tubes, syringes and air pumps to see how pneumatic toys may work. We then drew thumbnail sketches and exploded diagrams to plan out our penumatic toys. We then made our monsters and tested them out before evaluating what went well and what we changed or would do differently if we did it again.

Have a wonderful half term.
