Year 2 Tattenhall Residential

What a wonderful couple of days we have had in Tattenhall! It was a real delight to take Year 2 on their first residential.

After a long but very exciting journey on Thursday morning, we arrived at Tattenhall for a health and safety briefing and walked straight to the park for a play and for some lunch. When we arrived back to the centre, we were very excited for ziplining and team building games. We were very impressed that all 30 children (and all staff) completed the zipline! After enjoying our meal together, we started our next activity – low ropes. It was wonderful to see children working as a team to help each other complete the tricky tasks (especially the big rope swing!). We then completed our final activity of the day. We all sat around the campfire and enjoyed some campfire songs whilst toasting marshmallows. What a delicious treat to end our day!

On Friday morning, we had a very early start and made our way to Bunbury Mill where we enjoyed making bread and water wheels. Finally we went for a tour around the mill, which we found particularly interesting, before making our way back to school.

What a fantastic trip we have had! Year 2, you were a pleasure to take on residential and we hope you enjoyed it as much as we have.
