Spelling rules

This week we focused on the /l/ sound, which is made by le, el, al and il, such as in the words bottle, camel, pencil and metal.

Maths and English

Our focus in Maths was on measurement of mass/ weight in grams and kilograms.

In English, we researched the sinking of the Titanic and then wrote a diary anticipating travelling on what was considered an ‘unsinkable’ wonder ship. Next week, we will plan and write a newspaper report which will talk about the events that transpired when it sunk.

Topic

We found out even more about the Titanic in our topic lesson with Miss Walker.

RE- Holy Spirit Day

On Tuesday the children found out all about the Pentecost story and the different symbols for the Holy Spirit!

 Homework

Homework will start as normal with mymaths and English homework on Monday and Wednesday.

Please keep up the reading at home and record this in your child’s planner very briefly. Thank you.
