Spelling rules
This week we have focused on KS1 common exception words.
Maths and English
Our focus in Maths was 2D and 3D shapes; we have been learning all about sides and vertices when looking at 2D shapes and we have even looked at lines of symmetry.
We discovered a mysterious red cloak in the woods in English and investigated the area! Lots of children found clues suggesting a wolf had been in the area! We then learnt the story of Little Red Riding Hood and wrote letters stepping into the role of characters from the story.
RE, Science and foundation subjects
In RE we completed our assessment based upon salvation.
In Science we investigated local habitats and then thought about African animals and what their habitats might look like.
(I sent out a letter about Stay and Make- this will be on Monday 1st April and details can be found in the letter about the session.)
All of the children are really looking forward to going to Beeston on Monday- it will be a fantastic experience for them!
If you have any questions, please get in touch.
