Welcome to Year 1 and what a lovely couple of days we have enjoyed so far- a great start to the new academic year. It has been great to get to know the children and their interests through their first piece of independent writing, where they wrote about something, we would find interesting about them. Our other activities have focused around ‘The Colour Monster’. We have compared the Colour Monster’s feelings of calmness, happiness, sadness, love and anger with our own and considered our own triggers to these emotions. It was fun making our own colour monsters and sharing them with the class. From Monday our new timetable will begin, and this can be found on our class page.
