Date: 28th Mar 2025 @ 4:07pm
This has been a busy week! The Jungle Book, special Mother’s Day service at St. Oswalds and a trip to Nantwich!
On Tuesday we were treated to a viewing of The Jungle Book, the children loved it! The animal puppets were great and they all got to join in with the songs.
History – Trip to Nantwich.
We learnt all about the Great Fire of Nantwich which was started by Nicolas Brown on the 10th of December 1583, there were similarities to the Great Fire of London that the houses were build of wood and very close together and that the fire had to be put out using only leather buckets. We also learnt about the bears that were realised and running around the town which meant the fire kept going for 20 days as people were too scared of the bears to get near the fire to put it out! Queen Elizabeth I gave £1000 to help rebuild the town.
