Year 1 w/b 18.6.18

We have had a wonderful week in year 1. Many thanks for your support with spelling, maths and the English homework that was set. Capital letters and full stops are going to be a focus for homework over the next few weeks, so any help with this at home would be very worthwhile.

In English this week, we discovered police tape around our classroom. After investigating, we found out that the Queen’s knicker trunk was missing! We have done a variety of activities such as a missing poster and a set of instructions. In maths this week we have focussed on recognising and adding money. During Science this week, we identified parts of a plant and we made a fact file about the Wright brothers in our topic lesson! In PE, we practised catching in rounders, before playing a game of rounders without using a bat!
