Year 1 class blog w/b 15.1.18

We have had a lovely week in year 1! This week in phonics we have focussed on the ire sound. Thank you for your help with spellings this week! (Please continue to record any reading in your child’s planner.)

In English, we innovated the story ‘The Bear who went Boo’ changing the characters and what happened in the story! The children had some wonderful ideas and enjoyed writing stories this week!

In maths we have continued to focus on number bonds to 20 and looked at part- part whole models when problem solving. In science we looked at objects which sink and float.

In topic we continued to create a leaflet about the Antarctic.
