Year 1 class blog- week beginning 4.12.17

We have had a wonderful week in year 1! This week in phonics we have focussed on the ear sound.
We looked at missing number problem solving in maths and, following on from our visit from Cinderella, in English, we invented a set of instructions on how to protect a character of our choosing!
In science we made a healthy living booklet and we focused on key skills in PE. We have spent a lot of time this week rehearsing for our Nativity ‘Prickly Hay.’ Year one have enjoyed lots of singing and dancing!
The performances will be both be at 2pm next Tuesday 12th and Wednesday 13th. If you haven’t brought it in already, please make sure costumes are in on Monday, as we will be doing our dress rehearsal to the whole school in the afternoon. Thank you.
