Year 1 class blog- week beginning 27.11.17

We have had a lovely week in year 1! This week in phonics we have focussed on the aw, au and or sounds. Thank you for your help with spellings and reading at home. Well done to our super speller Sienna.

We looked at addition in maths and consolidated our knowledge on number bonds. In English, following on from our visit from Cinderella we innovated a set of instructions on how to protect a baby princess!

In topic we published our recounts and made our pirate bunting designs for the Treasure Island display that we are in the process of creating! We have been doing lots of singing and dancing for our nativity! Next week, we will start to practise on the stage.
