Year 1 Chester Zoo

Just a few 350 photos to give you a flavour of our wonderful adventure today at Chester Zoo. There was much awe and wonder amongst the children as we journeyed around the zoo. Every time we turned a corner a mammal, reptile, bird, amphibian or fish were waiting to greet us and we certainly had some close encounters. Throughout the day the children were polite, engaged and showed great knowledge about the habitats and features of animals. The leaders in our workshop sessions were most impressed. All in all, a day to cherish. After all, it’s not everyday you have the opportunity to touch an elephant’s tooth, come up close and personal with an alligator and watch butterflies hatching from cocoons!
