Y6 Anti-bullying week
Date: 17th Nov 2021 @ 7:50am
Often in Year 6, we talk about how to love one another as Jesus taught us. We look at challenges we face to put this into action if we have a difference of opinion and at the moment we are considering the power of peaceful or non-peaceful protest by looking at the lives of Martin Luther King and the Suffrage movement.
This week we are taking time every day to consider the subject of bullying. The week began with a live lesson by the BBC which encouraged the children to recognise the 6 roles we can play in bullying. See if your child can remember what each role is.
We are also completing a Kindness Diary, noting down when we were kind or when someone showed us kindness in our day. Perhaps you could encourage your child to think of moments from their day that they could add to the diary and share with the class.
The week will end with Odd Socks Day as we celebrate our differences. I look forward to seeing all those mis-matched socks!
