I hope you are all enjoying your weekend. Last week was incredibly busy. Our visit to Blists Hill was very successful. The sweets, fairground, school and meeting a suffragette were particular highlights. Take a look at the pictures in the gallery section of our class page.
Next week we will begin a new English topic which will involve children learning a story off by heart, taking part in some drama and creative activities and eventually making their own story based on a similar theme. I'm sure everyone will enjoy it and you'll hear about some of our activities at home.
Year 5 will also be leading our school harvest service in church on Friday. We look forward to seeing many of you there.
Finally, please check parentmail for a letter about our visit to Chester Cathedral. I apologise for the late notice, but we have been fortunate enough to gain a place on the day following a cancelation from another school. This is a fantastic day giving children the opportunity to tour the cathedral, take part in a number or workshops including craft and falconry and take part in a large collective worship with other schools. We are very much looking forward to the day.
I look forward to seeing you all next week,
Mrs Wood
