What's happening in Year 4 WC 4.1.2016
Date: 5th Jan 2016 @ 5:02pm
Happy New Year! Welcome back after what I hope has been a wonderful Christmas break. Firstly I would like to thank everyone for your generous gifts and kind words of appreciation at the end of last term.
We have lots planned for this term...orienteering at Brereton Heath and a trip to The Lowry to name a couple!
This week we are diving straight in with our new text, The Heart and the Bottle. We'll be making inferences and predictions, and then writing some character descriptions. In Maths we are working on place value and I have to say I am very pleased with their hard working approach to Roman Numerals today. Keep it up Year 4!
Today we have started our Science topic by looking at habitats. We explored our school grounds and discussed how animals are suited to their habitats. Over the next few days we will be begin exploring our new topic starting with our local area.
PE and Music will resume as normal this week so please remember outdoor PE kits tomorrow and instruments on Thursday.
Thank you
Mrs Saunders
