What's happening in Year 4 WC 16.11.15

Another busy week ahead in Year 4...

In Maths we are continuing with written methods of multiplication and division. 

In English we are working towards writing a prequel to our story, The Jolley-Rogers and the Ghostly Galleon. Tomorrow, we will be meeting the character. Miss Pinky, so we can interview her and find out more about her past. Today we generated lots of interesting questions to ask her!  

English homework for the next three weeks is to complete the KS2 Writing Competition, details of which can be found under Year 4 News items. Children must complete 3 out of the 5 tasks and hand them in by Friday 4th December. 

I would like to remind children that they need to be recording their reading at home in their planners, with the aim to read 4-5 times per week. Children must remember to bring their planners into school everyday. 

Now for a plea for help at the Christmas Fair. Each class has been assigned a stall, ours being the Bottle Tombola. If anyone would like to volunteer half an hour of their time between 5:30 and 8pm to help, please see me or pop a note in your child's planner.
