Welcome to Year 3
Date: 3rd Sep 2021 @ 6:54pm
Welcome to Year 3!
I hope you have all had a lovely summer. We have had a wonderful first two days in Year 3 (and Key Stage 2!). I hope you have managed to read information about PE, Forest School and other useful information in the email and on the website (topic web, timetable and ‘Welcome to Year 3 Powerpoint’).
Forest School sessions will be on Friday and PE for this half term is on Wednesday. Please wear PE kits on PE days and bring wellies and coats for Forest School.
We have enjoyed playing and catching up with our friends after the summer break, as well as learning about place value (hundreds, tens and ones) in Maths, forces in Science (pushes and pulls) and as part of our forest school lesson, we have been introduced to our topic about rivers, which will be our main focus in English and Geography lessons. Today, we visited our local river, the River Croco and listened to our focus story for the half term, the Rhythm of the Rain. Everyone has worked very hard and has shown fantastic, positive attitudes in the classroom.
Have a great weekend and please get in touch if you have any questions.
