Welcome Mr. Jackson

The children have no doubt told you by now that we have a new adult working with us in year six. Jake Jackson is a trainee teacher in his second year at Edge Hill University. He is on placement with us for a total of ten weeks, although he has worked here twice previously for the purposes of work experience. Having Mr. Jackson with us will facilitate some more focussed periods of revision in the run up to SATs tests in May, as he will, under supervision, plan for and teach groups of children in numeracy and literacy, including spelling, punctuation and grammar. He will also build up to a proportion of whole class teaching in the afternoons of foundation subjects including art, design technology and topic work, as well as science and RE. Mr. Jackson will be accompanying years five and six on our residential to Pensarn after Easter too.
