Welcome back!

We have had a super start to the school year. I have been so impressed with the behaviour and postive attitude towards learning that I have seen from all children over the last 2 weeks and am hoping this continues. 

A huge congratulations to our new ambassadors, you have all worked incredibly hard and are consistently showing how you are fantastic role models both inside the classroom and around school. 

This week, we have started our lessons with our subject teachers; science with Mr Lindblad looking at animals and habitats, art with Mrs Taylor and learning all about the role of women in history with Mrs Field. They have also all being very impressed with the effort and contributions in lessons. 

We have all been enjoying our English text 'The Origin of Species' and have been finding out lots of information on Charles Darwin and how species evolve over time. We have been working hard in maths to find new methods of working out addition and subtraction questions and finding out which methods work best for us. We will be continuing this next week and beyond to get lots of practise in with our maths fluency!

I look forward to next week and seeing all the fantastic effort and ideas in each lesson.
