Welcome Back
Date: 8th Jan 2016 @ 12:24pm
It has been lovely to see everyone again after the Christmas break.
This week children have been working very hard in all areas.
In maths we have been working on recognising the place value of numbers up to 10 000 000, number sequences including square and prime numbers and co-ordinates.
Follow these links to try some challenges at home.

In literacy children have been looking at the book 'The Arrival'. We have been writing the story from the perspective of the different characters. We have been thinking carefully about our word choices and the beginnings of sentences.

In science we have been learning about the heart and circulatory system. The children had great fun playing their part in the system when we made a giant model in the hall. They can all explain how blood travels around the body and the function of the heart.
In topic we learned about the rise of the Greek Empire and Alexander the Great.
I hope you all enjoy your weekend.
