Welcome Back

Wow!

It has been fantastic to welcome everyone back to school this week. There have been some new routines for children to get used to such as hand washing and different breaks and lunchtimes but they have all enjoyed becoming familiar with their new classroom, lockers and places. Thank you for navigating the one way systems. For those of you not yet familiar with the Y5 collection, we ask that you enter the front of school from School Lane and leave through the gate on Newcastle Road. 

This week we have been working on some getting to know each other and team building activities which have been lots of fun. Children have also been revising their knowledge of times tables, reading our new class book and completing their first piece of writing.

I have been so impressed by their enthusiasm and concentration after an extended time away from school. I'm sure we're going to have a great year!
