Welcome back

Welcome back!
First of all, I want to welcome the children and parents back to another year at Brereton. Year 4 is a busy year for all the children with many exciting opportunities and experiences to be had.
I have already enjoyed getting to know the children and hearing about their summers during our first day.
This year, the children will have the chance to learn a musical instrument with Mrs Tice. She will be joining us each Thursday for cello and violin lessons. Please look out for home-school agreements which need to be signed before the children can bring their instruments home.
Although not one of our topics this year, the Romans played a large part in sculpting this area of the country and this weekend the annual Roman festival takes place in Middlewich on Harbutt's field. This would be a great opportunity for the children to cement their knowledge from last year and experience a variety of activities.
Finally, I look forward to getting to know the children over this year and working closely with all parents to ensure this year is a productive and progressive one.
Please don't hesitate coming over to talk to me or making an appointment via the school office if you wish.
Mr Stanway
