Year One Week beginning 12.12.16
Date: 16th Dec 2016 @ 4:21pm
We have had yet another fabulous week, all the hard work has paid off and your amazing children were all brilliant in Lights, Camel, Action! I hope you enjoyed watching it as much as we all enjoyed performing it.
During phonics this week we have been writing silly sentences with words containing the phonic sounds we have learnt, during guided reading we have looking at the blurbs written on the back of different Christmas stories and we have made our own book sleeves.
In literacy we have made books and written the story of the very first Christmas, in numeracy we have helped Father Christmas by solving addition and subtraction problems.
I will be sending a Christmas learning challenge pack home next week, please help your child to complete as much of it as possible but most of all enjoy spending time together, read stories, play games and have fun.
A little reminder, it is the Reception, Year One and Two Christmas party on Monday afternoon, please bring your child's party clothes into school in a named bag, we will get changed at 1pm ready for all the fun.
One more thing, I just want to say a huge thank you, it really is a privilege to care for your children, they amaze me every day and they are all growing in confidence.
Merry Christmas.
